Fall 2008 President's Message:

Like many of you, I can't believe it is almost football season again. In January, I thought, "What are we going to do for 9 months?" and now it is less than a few weeks until our match up with the University of Virginia. For those of you who are not familiar with our club activities, we meet for dinner events about 4 to 5 times a year at the Calabasas Country Club just off the 101 at Parkway Calabasas as it is a convenient location for those in the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County. If you have not yet joined us for a meeting this year you are really missing out. For the cost of admission we have a full buffet which has included prime rib, crab legs, shrimp, pizza, multiple vegetable dishes, salads and a full dessert buffet. Take the 101 to Parkway Calabasas. Go west. Turn right on Park Entrada (about 1 mile) and go up the hill. The Country Club will be on the left and the banquet facility is on the right of the building.

Our club exists to provide events and funds for non-budgeted items for our athletic teams and the USC Dance Force. In the past we have been heavy supporters of the Basketball programs and the USC Dance Force. In addition I know that many of our members attend volleyball, baseball, and other events. Some of the items we have provided include video equipment, tvs, and funds for the USC Dance Force to travel to Florida for a national competition.

Club Tidbits
Our club organizes several dinner events throughout the year with the goal of raising money for non-budgeted items for Trojan athletics. In the past we have raised considerable funds and donated to many groups including the Men's BB team, the Trojan Dance Force, the Galen Center, USC Tennis and the Trojan Marching Band. All club proceeds are donated to the USC Athletic Dept for related events or teams. We are proud supporters of the Trojan Dance Force and helped them get to Florida the last two years to compete in the collegiate National Dance Championship. While we are a diverse group spanning from Santa Barbara, Ventura County, SF Valley and even some from Bakersfield, we come together for our passion for USC Athletics and cheering our teams to victory. In addition, we organize a trip to Notre Dame, and a bus to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl or when we play UCLA at the Rose Bowl.
