THIS SEASON: Miranda Nichols' speed and smarts have made her a crucial part of USC's lineup for three seasons, and the senior enters 2007 as a valuable attacker and standout player for the Trojans.

2007: Nichols doubled her previous season's scoring effort by racking up 30 goals as a junior... Scored in 17 different games with 10 multiple-goal efforts... Tied her career high with four goals in the first round of the MPSF Tournament against San Jose State on April 27.

2006: Nichols scored 15 goals for USC as a sophomore... Scored in nine games total with four multiple-goal efforts... Had a career-high four goals against San Diego State on April 1.

2005: Nichols scored 14 goals in her first season at USC.... Named to MPSF All-Freshman team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Nichols was named CIF Division IV Player of the Year in her senior season at Santa Barbara (Calif.) High... Was a first team All-American as the Senior Nationals in her junior season... Earned All-CIF and All-Channel League first team honors all four years... A member of the academic honor roll all four years... Plays club for SD Shores, which won the 2004 Junior Nationals.
