As the team's starting libero, Hillgren will provide the bulk of the defense in her 2008 junior season.


2007
Hillgren played in every match this season as a 2007 sophomore...earned Pac-10 Conference All-Academic second team honors...recorded 508 digs on the season (fourth-most in school history) for a 4.38 digs-per-game average...finished the season with a 5.37 dpg average in her final 10 games...ranked fifth among all Pac-10 Conference players for digs...on Oct. 2 against UC Irvine, she recorded 24 digs in the five-game win against the Anteaters and had a 7.00 dpg average with 21 digs on Oct. 12 in a 3-0 sweep over No. 19 Oregon....had a career-high 36 digs (7.20 dpg) on Oct. 26 against No. 9 Cal and followed it with 26 digs (6.50 dpg) against No. 3 Stanford...had 31 digs in a four-game win against No. 9 UCLA on Nov. 2 at the Galen Center...against No. 5 Washington on Nov. 16, she posted 26 digs in the five-game victory...posted 20 digs against Pepperdine in a three-game sweep on Nov. 30 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament...had 26 digs in a five-game win over No. 13 St. John's in the Gainesville (Fla.) Regional semifinal on Dec. 7...tied a season-high with two service aces, adding 34 digs on Dec. 13 in the NCAA semifinal against No. 1 Stanford.

As a defensive specialist in her 2006 freshman season, Hillgren played in 24 matches...recorded four service aces (0.11 sapg) and 18 digs (0.47 dpg) overall...registered a season-high five digs on Aug. 25 against North Texas.
