2006-2007
As a 2007 sophomore, Linton played in four events, finishing with a stroke average of 74.08 ... Linton tied for 30th as an individual at the USC Collegiate Invitational (75-72-73, 220), tied for 69th at the Oregon Duck Invitational, tied for 14th at the ASU Thunderbird (70-73-70, 213) and tied for 19th at the Pac-10 Championships with a 289 (+1, 71-76-71-71). Each of his rounds of 71 at the Pac-10s counted toward USC's team totals.
2005-2006:
Linton played in four tournaments as a 2006 freshman, his campaign highlighted by a tie for 16th (as an individual) at the Ashworth Invitational (218). His final-round 70 there was his season low ... His next-best finish was a tie for 42nd at the CordeValle Collegiate.
HIGH SCHOOL
Linton, Illinois' No. 1-ranked junior in 2003-04, won the Division 2-A high school boys golf title while attending Lake Forest (Ill.) High in 2004 and led his squad to the team title as well. Linton also recorded three second-place finishes in highly competitive AJGA events.
PERSONAL
Born Oct. 22, 1986. An international relations major, he is the son of Tom and Karen Linton and has a sister, Renae.
